Sip aperitifs and socialize with fellow Europeans in a stylish lounge bar. This event is specially for expatriate Europeans, their guests, and regulars. If you are from Europe and want to make interesting new friends, have substantial conversations, compare notes on life in America, practice your language skills or just have fun, come join us! Drop in when you can and stay for as long as you want. You'll discover a friendly group where mingling is mandatory! (See mingling etiquette.) Newcomers are very welcome.

Check in at the welcome table to receive your Friends of Europe name badge. Happy Hour drinks and half-price appetizers will be available until 6PM. The event will end around 7PM to allow people to dine together afterwards if they want at the venue or nearby restaurants. There is free validated parking in the adjoining Hills Plaza parking garage (entrance on Folsom between Embarcadero and Spear). For more information about the venue click here.

There is a limit on the number of people the venue can accommodate. Please RSVP YES only if you are fairly confident that you - and your guest if you are bringing one - will be able to attend. Events are usually full, so if your plans change or your guest cannot come please update your RSVP so that someone else can come instead.

Note: the prices of the discounted Happy Hour drinks and appetizers do not include any service charge. So don't forget to tip! 18% is the norm for a group event such as ours. For the $4.50 (including sales tax) drinks, a $1 tip would be greatly appreciated by the servers.

Met great people, always so easy to chat with new people from all around the world. Loved it!
    •  I thought it was very nice to talk with friendly Europeans.
    •  I like Palomino. It is a good and convenient replacement for Pres a Vi. It was nice to see old friends, even if only while waving at each another from across the room. ;-)
    •  I met some great people and had some memorable conversations. It would be nice to have a few folks dotted around looking out for newbies, so they don't feel awkward when initially trying to connect-up with people.
    •  I had a break for couple of months, and it seems that this expat gathering was great.
    •  Great group of people! Very interesting, stimulating conversations!
    •  Geoff, as always, I appreciate your efforts to organize this great event! Sorry that I did not realize it was a gathering for the expats... Meantime, I enjoyed meeting and talking with wonderful people. I look forward to attend the next one in near future.
    •  really nice people as usual, but the NOISE level in there became so distracting that it was impossible to carry on a conversation. we had to leave due to it. good job, though, geoff!
