You may be interested to know that Bay Area Friends of Europe is now the largest "Euro" group on Meetup! With now over 1200 members, we recently edged out the New York European Meetup group as the largest group. (See http://euro.meetup.com/)

Please RSVP responsibly: there is a limit on the number of people venues can comfortably accommodate so please only RSVP YES if you are fairly confident you can attend. If your plans change, update your RSVP so that someone else can come in your place. You can change your RSVP right up to the day of the event. Meetup has recently introduced a wait-list feature and I have turned this on for the October 19 event to allow us to try it out. If an event is full, select the option to be put on the wait-list. You will be notified by email when a slot opens up and your RSVP will be automatically changed to YES. Note: if you indicate that you want to bring one or more guests then the system will currently only change your RSVP when enough slots open up for you and your guests at the same time. If there are people lower on the wait-list who are not bringing a guest they will in this case leapfrog you! I leave it to you to figure out how to play the system :-)
