New venue for September 6, European Expats Gathering

The next European Expats Gathering on Sunday, September 6 will be held in a new venue for the group: Palomino, not far from the Ferry Building in San Francisco.

Palomino is a city restaurant and bar with a stylish ambiance not unlike our much lamented Pres A Vi and a fabulous view across the Bay. Happy Hour drinks and half-price appetizers will be available to us until 6PM and there is free validated parking (3 hours) in the adjoining Hills Plaza parking garage (entrance on Folsom between Embarcadero and Spear).

Palomino on Howard St. (just off Embarcadero) is well located for people coming from all parts of the Bay Area, It's a ten minute walk from Embarcadero BART/Muni and short ride on the T-line streetcar from the Caltrain station on 4th St. People driving from the South Bay can take 280 all the way to Kings St and Embarcadero. East Bay people will take the Fremont St exit once over the Bay Bridge. (Don't forget however that the Bay Bridge will be closed for the entire Labor Day weekend but, of course, BART will be running!) A number of routes are possible from the North Bay (consult Google Maps), the most pleasant probably being along Marina Blvd, Bay St and then Embarcadero to Howard St.
